Over the summer, I joined the Skype universe and have enjoyed reconnecting with my extended family back home in South America. It's a great service...and it's totally free! I've talked to people about it and some say they're saving money on their monthly phone bills by substituting Internet-based telephone services such as Skype and with this economy we can all use some extra funds in our pockets!! Okay, here's how it works. There's no phone cards involved, but you will need a computer and a web cam (with a microphone). Then, download Skype and start chatting away. And that's all. Very simple. Try it. I'm sure you'll like it.
