Larry Mendte, the former Chicago news anchor (pictured above with co-anchor Alycia Lane) has been charged with illegally accessing Lane's e-mail and then leaking it to a gossip columnist in the Philadelphia market. I was reading an article about the case. Both anchors were fired from the station. She was let go because she assaulted a police office and Mendte was let go because of a pending FBI investigation. Apparently, Mendte was jealous because Lane was making more money. Another article I saw reports Mendte was making $721,200 a year and Lane was reportedly making $824,200 a year. What's wrong with this picture?
