And the Golden Globe goes to....

My favorite actor Robert DeNiro ("The God Father part II," "Casino," and yes even the worst movie he ever made "The Fan.") was honored with a Cecil B. DeMile award during the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards.

"The Social Network," is the big winner this year taking home awards for Best Score, Best Screen Play (Aaron Sorkin), Best Director (David Fincher) and Best Film.

Natalie Portman wins Best Actress for "The Black Swan," and Colin Firth wins Best Actor for "The King's Speech." Paul Giamatti also takes home honors for "Barney's Version" and Annette Bening for "The Kids are Alright," which also wins for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.

Christian Bale and Melissa Leo take home awards for their supporting roles in "The Fighter."

"Burlesque," wins for Best Original Song, "Toy Story 3," wins Best Animated Feature Film and "In a Better World," a film from Denmark wins Best Foreign Language Film.
In the Television Category:

"Glee," wins Best TV Comedy, Best Supporting Actor (Chris Colfer) and Best Supporting Actress (Jane Lynch). Laura Linney wins Best Actress - TV Series, Comedy or Musical for "The Big C," and Jim Parsons "The Big Bang Theory," wins for Best Actor.

HBO's "Boardwalk Empire," wins best Drama Series and its star, Steve Buscemi wins Best Actor.

Al Pacino wins Best Actor in a Mini-Series for "You Don't Know Jack." Claire Danes ("My So-Called Life") wins Best Actress in a Mini-Series for "Temple Grandin."

Katie Segal (Married...with Children) helped open the show with her win for FX's "Sons of Anarchy," and "Carlos," wins best television mini-series.
